The Rotary Club of Marlton has announced the selection of Victoria Balara, NiCoria Seay, Christopher Velarides, and Jacob Ahle as participants in the Rotary Youth Leadership Academy (RYLA)held on June 28th to July 1st, 2008 at Georgian Court College in Lakewood, N J.
Doug Reynolds, the RYLA Chairman for the Rotary Club of Marlton states that the students will be among approximately 135 New Jersey High School students from Monmouth, Ocean and Burlington counties who will live, work, study, and play together at the annual conference. The students will be entering their Senior year at Cherokee High School, Marlton, NJ in September 2008.
Aimed at developing the leadership potential of young people, the Conference will feature speakers and workshops focusing on decision making, critical thinking, communicating effectively, ethics, career development, public and community service, contemporary problems, and other challenging issues.
