The Maple Shade community has suffered a great loss. Army Spec. David P. Mahlenbroc a Maple Shade resident died with two other soldiers Dec. 3 when a car bomb exploded near Kirkuk, Iraq.
Maple Shade Rotary club has initiated a Packages >From Home program in honor of our hero David P. Mahlenbroc. It is our goal to send packages on a monthly basis to service men in Iraq who would other wise not receive care packages. We will be including items such as the ones listed bellow to help with the basic needs of our soldiers as well as a few items such as videos of sporting events and newspapers to help pass some of there time with articles and events that they do not get to view.
As I spoke to our members I mentioned to them that we live in the greatest country in the world and are afforded many opportunities to live a prosperous and safe life because of brave servicemen and women such as Army Spec. David P. Mahlenbroc. I'm asking all Rotarians in District 7500 for there support with this program, if my fellow president could speak to their members to help us with some of the items or monetarily the Members of Maple Shade club will package purchase and send the packages to our troops overseas.
