Anna Marie Bakanas, President of the Marlton Rotary Club, would like to invite students living in Evesham Twp. to participate in our first annual Rotary Essay Contest.  

For those in 5th or 6th grade, the subject of the essay is:

“Service Above Self” is the Rotary motto.  What does this  phrase mean to you?

8th and 9th grade students are asked to write about this subject:

Diversity is one of the core values, or guiding principles, of Rotary.  We believe that Rotaryunifies all people internationally behind the ideal of service.  We encourage  diversity within our membership, in our activities and our service work.  

What does DIVERSITY mean to you?

Submissions should be one page typed (Times New Roman font #12), and should include the student’s name, address, phone number or e-mail address (for notification purposes). Please tell us your grade and which school you attend. 

The winner will receive a $100 Visa Gift Card furnished by the Marlton Rotary. 

Entries should be mailed to the Marlton Rotary Club, PO Box 364, Marlton, NJ 08053.

Deadline for entry is February 15th, 2013.  

Entries will be displayed and the winner will be announced at the Marlton Rotary, Evesham Twp., Evesham Fire-Rescue Pancake Breakfast on February 24th, 2013 (need not be present to win).
